Top 5 Canister Vacuum Cleaners Worth Buying

July 5, 2017 in Vacuum Cleaner by Jeannine

Canister vacuums are regarded as the best cleaners for hardwoods and other ‘hardy’ floor surfaces. Below is a list of the top five best performing canister vacuums on the market.

1. Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog

The biggest shortcoming of canister vacuums is their inability to match other vacuum types when it comes to cleaning carpets. This Miele is an exception to that rule.

It easily outdoes the best carpet cleaners.

This cleaner is also powerful and does a short work of troublesome pet hairs. It is also very versatile thanks to its many (included) cleaning attachments.

Like many Miele vacuums, however, the C3 is a bit pricey. Considering its features and overall sturdiness, however, this cleaner is worth every penny.

2. Kenmore 81614

This cleaner is well-suited to tackle dirt on a broad range of floor types. It even picks out pet hairs on carpet floors, a feat impossible to most canister cleaners.

It also comes with a HEPA filtration system. It is, therefore, excellent for removing allergens and combating allergic reactions in the home.

Having an impressive 28-foot cord (retractable), a tool reach of 10.5 feet, and a cleaning path of fourteen inches, it is quite a maneuverable vacuum. The only downside is that it is a little loud.

3. Eureka Mighty Pet Lover 3684F

This vacuum is, arguably, the best budget cleaner on the market. Unlike many other budget cleaners, however, this Eureka comes with a HEPA filtration system for getting rid of allergens. It also offers amazing power for its size.

Its above-average suction power makes it very proficient at picking up stubborn pet hairs. Containing such power in the Eureka’s compact frame, however, comes at the expense of some extra noise.

All features considered, however, it is a very decent cleaner.

4. The Dyson Big Ball Multi Floor Cleaner

This vacuum cleaner is impossible to topple. It is built with self-righting technology that allows it to recover its position every time it is knocked over. It also comes with HEPA filtration systems that help it to keep the home allergen free.

The Big Ball also excels at picking up pet hair, cat litter, and a host of other stubborn debris. It also performs exceptionally well on different floor types.

Finally, Dyson’s ball technology increases its maneuverability making it easy for it to clean hard to reach spaces. This maneuverability makes the cleaner perform exceptionally well on difficult surfaces like stairs.

It may be a bit pricey to purchase but, it proves to be a bargain in the long run.

5. Eureka 3670G Mighty Mite

This is another budget cleaner from Eureka. It, however, matches costlier vacuums on hardwood floors and short-pile carpets. Its performance on the hardwoods is especially good.

This vacuum is also very light and weighs in at just 9-pounds. The reduced weight makes it very suitable when a quick clean is needed.

Even with its lightweight build, this vacuum packs enough power to challenge weightier rigs. It also comes with a 20-foot long power cord that enhances its reach.

Eureka managed to squeeze a lot of good features into this low-cost model.
